This card is for my mom's birthday. Since I'm in Spring mode, I thought I'd use flowers(again). I cut the card base from the Cricut Lacy Labels cartridge and the flowers came from the Cricut Paisley cartridge. I distressed the flowers a bit to give them a little more oomph! The stamped sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
Enjoy!
Welcome...
I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.
Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...
Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...
Enjoy and come back SOON!

You Melt My Heart... CCC #59
This week @ CCC, it's all about the kids. Your challenge is to make a Valentine's Day card for a child. That's it!!! You can use any cartridge and any colors you like.
I chose to use the Smiley Cards cartridge for the ice cream cone and the Paisley cartridge for the heart.
Don't forget to stop by and show us your take on this challenge.
Enjoy...

Take it Slow Card... Cricut Imagine...
OK... I've always admitted that I'm a gadget girl sooooo when the new Cricut Imagine (CI) was announced, I was immediately interested. Of course, I said I'd wait until it had been out for about six months before I purchased. Well that was before the HSN launch. After seeing the HSN bundle, I purchased that day! And since we're a team, I convinced my BFF and scrappy buddy Karen to purchase too!!! It didn't take much LOL!
This card was done solely with the Imagine (with the exception of the sentiment at the bottom). This entire card started as just white paper. I used the CI Best Friends cartridge to print the pattern papers and used the RGB feature to get the matching solid blue on the turtle's shell and the solid black on the turtle's body as well as the black paper at the bottom of the card. I ran the black paper through the Cuttlebug.
This is a simple card that was totally done in one 12 X 12 piece of white cardstock (there was paper left over). So far I like the CI. I can see lots of possibilities.

Hugs and Kisses.... CCC #12
The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week made me realize that there’s one creative feature on many of the cartridges that I’ve downright neglected. That feature is the “card feature”. So the challenge was to make a card using this feature. We could use any colors and any theme. I chose the Valentine’s theme. I used my favorite colors black & white with a touch of color. I loved this challenge. I used the “Card/Tab” function on the Cricut Paisely Cartridge. This particular card function is with the "Elephant1" cut. You can’t really tell in the picture but the heart is actually a cut-out in the card. I placed the white cardstock with the sentiment behind the cut-out. The matching envelope is also from the Paisley cartridge. I love how both the card and the envelope are cut such they are kept closed by a tab/slot.
After I completed this card, I started to look @ my other cartridges to see if they had this feature. I will definitely be using it again and SOON!

THANKS... You're a doll...
I discovered the Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog at the end of last year and made a mental note to particpate in some of the challenges. This card is based on Challenge 7 which is simply to make a thank you card using any colors and any Cricut cartridge. I decided to use the doll cut from the Cricut Paisley cartridge.

I’m LATE – For a Very Important Date…
The title for this card, taken from that famous line in "Alice in Wonderland", is very appropriate for this belated birthday wish. The turtle ( a clear departure from Alice in Wonderland) was cut from the much awaited Cricut Paisley cartridge. I couldn’t wait for this cartridge to be released! Love it thus far!
Well, I’ve got Christmas cards to make, but I thought I’d stop by and give my blog some much needed attention.
Enjoy…
