I'm trying to build up my stash. I'd like to have cards readily available for any occasion. Life is so busy, BUT these cards were so quick and simple. I think I may be on to something. Simplicity will have to be my new mantra.
The flower on card one was printed from the Silhouette Design Studio Library. The die cuts on card two are from Papertrey ink. Sentiments / Stamps are from My Creative Time w/ Emma.
Enjoy....
Welcome...
I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.
Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...
Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...
Enjoy and come back SOON!

Elisha Jean... The Cutting Cafe
Meet Elisha Jean, one of the latest images from The Cutting Cafe. I am by no means a colored pencil / Copic user, but little Elisha made me want to explore a bit. Yep, shading, coloring, or even tinting without the aid of some software is untried territory for me. So please be patient..., I'm trying something new here (talking more to myself than to you...lol).
The Elisha set comes with a couple of friends, Ruby J and Mikala Ann. You can check 'em out HERE.

For Every Blessing...
I guess with this card, I’m exercising my right to change my mind. I was kinda opposed to "physically" stamping anything. No ink pads for me thank you… My computer will do nicely. Then I started to take notice of the Papertrey Ink background stamps. I can officially say that I’ve had a change of heart. I love their background stamps and have recently purchased a few sets. The 3 sets of borders at the bottom of the card are from the PTI’s Retro and Polka Dots Basics II background stamps. I started off with a small section, but I’m going to work my way to using the stamps to make my own patterned paper. I love how the various styles can be used interchangeably to make unique designs. I'll get there, but for now, baby steps....
The card is brown with teal accents; however, in the photo, the base looks black… The words for the sentiment were taken from one of my favorite gospel songs titled “For This I Give You Praise”.
Until next time, enjoy…

10 Minute Card...
I’ve got to say background stamps are really good if you want to make a card but you’re short on time. This past weekend my scrap buddy, Karen and I ventured out to Archivers for a couple of card classes. The classes were fun, but the shopping after the class was even more fun. The classes we took had nothing to do with stamping but somehow each of us ended up with several stamps in our baskets. The pink portion of the card is stamped with one of the clings background stamps. I don’t remember the name of the stamp. I like the way it turned out. Quick and simple.
Enjoy...
