So glad you chose to stop by!

I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.

Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...

Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...

Enjoy and come back SOON!

BBQ Invite... CCC #81

Get ready for another fantastic week of challenges at the Cricut Cardz Challenge Site. We can't wait to see your take on this week's challenge.

The theme is Cookout / Picnic. You are able to use any colors and any cartridges that you like.

I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the chef and grill images. I printed the pattern papers from the Hopscotch and Best friends Cricut Imagine cartridges.

Now, let's see what you do with this challenge. We'll be stopping by!

Onsie...The Cutting Cafe

Isn't this set adorable? It's one of the newer sets at The Cutting Cafe. It's the "Onsie Shaped Card Template - Cutting File". This set has so much to offer including a matching envelope and envelope liner. If you're like me, you've never met a shaped card that you didn't like. If that's the case, you can't go wrong with this set. Go on over and check 'em out!!!

BTW, the sentiment is also part of the many items that come with the Onsie file!!!

Father's Day... CCC #79

Time for a new challenge @ the Cricut Cardz Site! This week Design Team 2 was asked to make Father's Day Cards using any cartridge and any colors.

I made this fun little kiddie Father's Day card using the Cricut Decals cartridge. I'm glad we were able to use any colors because I was able to use lots of those little scraps that I've got stored up. I also downloaded the Amazon font for the sentiment. It looked so kiddie-like.

Now it's your turn. Let us see your take on this challenge!!!

Fun Masculine... The Cutting Cafe'

It's Monthly Inspiration Time @ The Cutting Cafe. This month's focus is Father's Day or masculine cards (birthday, thinking of you, etc.). I decided to make a fun masculine card that could be used for most occasions. I was attempting to make the car look really shiny and in the process I kinda overdid the diamond glaze. So now it looks kinda plastic and kinda grungy... But there are no mistakes in paper crafting, right?

I used the It's Road Trip Time digital stamp set for the car. The sentiment is from "The Cruising By to Say Hi" car set @ the Cutting Cafe.

Both sets used for this card are HUGE. The "Cruisin' By to Say Hi" set features 98 images and the "It's Road Trip Time" set features 74 images. WOW!!! Stop on by The Cutting Cafe and check 'em out.

Hospitali-"tea"... The Cutting Cafe

I thought I'd make a thank you card with a play on words. I love this teapot from The Cutting Cafe and have wanted to use it for a while so I thought it would be perfect. The circle sentiment reads "Thank You" and the sentiment on the teapot reads "for the Hospitali-TEA."

This card actually has a destination... I made a pocket on the inside of the card for tea bags (that I'm out of) then it's to the post office with this one.

The Cutting Cafe set that I used is called Teapot Shaped Card. You can check it out HERE...

Thank You Note Cards...CCC #77

This week at Cricut Cardz Challenges, the design team was asked to make a card using the "card" creative feature from any cartridge. I chose the Sweet Treats cartidge. If you like to make shaped cards (like I do), then this is a great cartridge to have in your collection. Shaped cards are easy peasy by simply selecting the cards creative feature for the base and then selecting the layers.

I made a few thank you note cards... The outside tag reads "Thank You" and the inside reads "For Being So Sweet".

Now it's your turn to search out those cartridges that have the card feature and show us your take on this challenge.
