Welcome...

So glad you chose to stop by!

I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.

Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...

Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...

Enjoy and come back SOON!

Birthday Fun... Cutting Cafe Giveaway!!!...

I'm seeing GREEN!!! That's because Regina, owner of The Cutting Cafe, asked her design team to come up with some "green inspiration", the color green that is... I send birthday cards a lot so I chose to use the Cutting Cafe's "Birthday Fun Set" for my green inspired project.

Now for the good part. YOU have a chance to win the Cutting Cafe set that I used to make this project!!! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post before midnight CST February 19th. On February 20th, I will use random.org to choose the winner! It's that simple...

You'll love this set. It's so versatile and it's HUGE (comes with 63 images). I chose to cut this set using a die cut machine, but you can do whatever you like... die-cut them, hand-cut them, print them, color them, resize them... No limits...

Remember... leave a comment before midnight CST February 19th and I'll be back to announce the random.org winner on February 20th.

Until then, enjoy...

Stylish Blogger Award...

I received this Stylish Blogger Award from Paper Panther & Rayna over @ Purple Peep Techniques. What a wonderful surprise. Well, upon receipt of this award, I have to:

  • Thank the person who gave this award to me and link it back to their blog... So thanks Purple Panther & Rayna!!!

  • Share 8 things about myself (see below)

  • Pass this award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered (listed below in no particular order)

  • Leave a comment so that they can pass along the recognition!

Here goes....

  1. I am such a gadget girl. I love all things electronic. That's why my NookColor is my latest & greatest gadget. Sorry Kindle, but I must bid thee farewell... (smooches)...

  2. I love making cards / scrapbooking, but my first scrapbooking "party" was attended under duress... My friend threatened to excommunicate me if I didn't show up. Geez... guess she really wanted that hostess gift!!!

  3. I have a DSLR camera that I use like a simple point and shoot. How awful is that?! On the agenda for this year is to take a photography class.

  4. I love to read. One of my favorite genres is romance; however, my absolute favorite love story can be found in the BIBLE. It's the best one yet and it's non-fiction!!!

  5. A few years ago, I completed a half-marathon and it was one of my most rewarding accomplishments. Yeaaaahhhh!!!!

  6. I love listening to music so my iPhone/iPod is another of my favorite things.

  7. I love Lay's Sour Cream Potato Chips. It's true... no one can eat just one. Well, it's true for me anyway

  8. When I finish a scrapbooking project, the room is an absolute mess, BUT, I can't start a new project until it's absolutely SPOTLESS again... I'm at war with myself...

My Funny Valentine...CCC#61

I'm back again with another card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge Site. This week the challenge is to make a Valentine's card using any cartridge; however, there's a catch. You must use the colors BLUE, GREEN and WHITE ONLY. This one was particularly challenging for me. I realize that I never used those colors.

I made a simple card using the "Doodlecharms" cartridge. The heart is cut # 3.0 inches. The matching envelope comes from the "Christmas Cheer" cartridge. The blue pattern paper was printed from the Cricut Imagine "Yummy" cartridge.

Your turn. Let's see how you do with this challenge.

Enjoy...

Take Your Time... The Cutting Cafe

I just love the Animal and Bug Love Colored printable stamp over at The Cutting CafĂ©. It’s packed with lots of images. Using the colored set was a piece of cake. I just resized the image, added a frame from the B & W Animal and Bug Love Set, printed it and I was done.

To add a little dimension, I cut the turtle shell in MTC and adhered it with pop dots. I used a couple of Cricut cuts for the clouds and grass. Since this card will be hand delivered, I thought I’d make a cute little matching envelope as well.

Enjoy!!!
