Welcome...

So glad you chose to stop by!

I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.

Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...

Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...

Enjoy and come back SOON!

Sunshine... Blog Award

I received this wonderful blog award from Julie over @ Ready, Stamp, Create. I love the way Julie uses her Cricut. As a matter of fact, my first introduction to Julie was via the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog. I especially love this card. The rules for this award is to pass it on to six others. Since I can’t limit it to six and I don’t want to exclude anyone , I’m passing this award on to everyone who stops by!!! Maybe I should rename it to the “all inclusive” Sunshine Blog Award (smile)…

Have a wonderful day…

More Cake...

Shaped cards are my absolute favorite cards to make. Lately, the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge is my favorite cartridge. So I combined my two favorites for this birthday card. And it's off to the mail with this one...

Hugs and Kisses.... CCC #12

The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week made me realize that there’s one creative feature on many of the cartridges that I’ve downright neglected. That feature is the “card feature”. So the challenge was to make a card using this feature. We could use any colors and any theme. I chose the Valentine’s theme. I used my favorite colors black & white with a touch of color. I loved this challenge. I used the “Card/Tab” function on the Cricut Paisely Cartridge. This particular card function is with the "Elephant1" cut. You can’t really tell in the picture but the heart is actually a cut-out in the card. I placed the white cardstock with the sentiment behind the cut-out. The matching envelope is also from the Paisley cartridge. I love how both the card and the envelope are cut such they are kept closed by a tab/slot.

After I completed this card, I started to look @ my other cartridges to see if they had this feature. I will definitely be using it again and SOON!

Enjoy...

Faith, Hope, & LOVE... CCC #11

The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week was to make a Valentine's card without using hearts. Initially, I said, “no problem”, but this proved to be more difficult than I thought. I came up with a pretty basic card. The card base and rounded polka dot square were cut from the Mini Monograms Cartridge. The scalloped circle frame was cut from the Easter Seasonal cartridge and the two little red love birds were cut from the Tie the Knot Cartridge. Challenge met...

The Sweetest Birthday… 2S4Y Kazan # 45

I love making round cards so I really enjoyed the sketch @ 2 Sketches 4 You this week. I chose to make a circle birthday card. I used the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge for the scalloped circle (flower) as well as the cupcake. I really like that cartridge. It's got so many fun cuts.

Some Notecards from the EXCESS…

I’ve got so many scraps. Little strips of paper here… A block of paper there… Well, after a while, it all adds up to quite a stack. So I thought it was time to do something about the excess. I decided to make some little notecards. They are small, but it’s just enough space to get the point across.

To create this set, I used Nestabilities to form to card base. I also used the Cricut and the Slice for the die cuts. Sounds like a lot, but this was a very quick and easy project. I’m definitely gonna make more.

Enjoy…
