Flower Shaped Card…. RAK Week 4

Our Random Act of Kindness effort is in the final week. This was a great experience and I’ll continue to things like this throughout the year. I chose to make a simple flower shaped card this week. The flower is from the Cricut Hello Kitty cartridge. I used the card feature.

Father’s Day…. Same Design 3 Xs…

Well, if you’ve visited my blog before, you’re probably familiar with my infamous last minute creations. Today is one of those days. Father’s Day cards are done. Got them done pretty quickly because I’m using the “design once repeat often” methodology. At least these are all hand deliveries!

I’m on target with my third set of RAK cards. I’ve found that it’s easier to get them done if I come up with one theme and stick with that. Well got lots more to do. Just wanted to do a quicky post.

1. I have no siblings, but always wanted a sister.



2. My mother & father always promised that Santa would bring me a sister... Bad Santa!



3. I make my cousin's son call me Auntie or Tee Velma.



4. When my cousin's son was about 5 years old, he introduced me to his teacher as "His cousin, Auntie Velma"... I take full responsibility for the confused look on his teacher's face. Priceless...



5. I'm a major gadget girl. I love all things electronic.



6. I love to read... That's why my Kindle 2 is one of my favorite gadgets.



7. I watch waaaayyyy to much Reality TV (Survivor, Big Brother, ANTM, Amazing Race)... you get my point.

It’s a GOOD Thing… RAK Cards…

It’s always nice to receive cards and it’s even nicer when you don’t expect it. My Sunday School class has started a Random Act of Kindness (RAK) effort to send some cards to those in need of a pick-me-up.

We’ll be sending cards for the entire month of June (and probably beyond). All in all, it’s a good thing. Yep, it’s more blessed to give than to receive!
