Welcome...

So glad you chose to stop by!

I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.

Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...

Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...

Enjoy and come back SOON!

Flower Pot Easel Card

My friends and I had a challenge to use some our scraps.  In addition, we were to use some form of embossing (wet or dry), and a technique or tool that we'd never done before.

I chose to do an Easel card because I've always wanted to try it (hope this counts as technique).  All of the paper came from my scrap stash and I wet embossed the sentiment.

Challenge met!

BTW... the flower pot easel is an SVG from "My Scrap Chick" that was cut with my Silhouette.

New Home Card...

Just sharing a shaped card that I made for a challenge with a few of my friends.  The challenge was:  Shaped Card, Polka Dots, Ribbon and Bling... All my faves.

This card is a combo of Cricut Cuts and punches.  I had finish my card with punches because my Cricut chose to DIE in the middle of making this card.  It's served me well with no problems since 2007 so I can't complain...(much).

Hello... Got Sketch 153

My friend, Karen issued a sketch challenge to a few of us.  The challenge was to create a card based on Valerie Salmon's Got Sketch #153.  This is what I came up with (yeah I know I'm late Karen!)...

All cuts from Silhouette Cameo library.

Congrats - You Did It!!!

I'm still on my quest to build my card collection.  Slowly, but surely, I'm getting there.  I thought I'd add a congrats card to the group.

I used the Silhouette Cameo for both the card and matching envelope.  I just got the machine and I'm pretty hooked on it right now.  The sentiment on both the tag and card were done with the Silhouette print and cut feature.  I was able to use the "Typenoksidi" font that I'd downloaded from dafont.com and loaded onto my computer (I really like that feature!)  The balloon is one of the many images available for purchase in the Silhouette library.

The paper is from my scrap supply. It was kinda fun to mix all those patterns.

All Occasion - Simplicity

I'm trying to build up my stash.  I'd like to have cards readily available for any occasion.  Life is so busy, BUT  these cards were so quick and simple.  I think I may be on to something.  Simplicity will have to be my new mantra.

The flower on card one was printed from the Silhouette Design Studio Library.  The die cuts on card two are from Papertrey ink.  Sentiments / Stamps are from My Creative Time w/ Emma.

Oh Night Divine... CCC # 97

I'm back with another Crcut Cardz Challenge. The design team was asked to create a card using a Christmas song as the theme.

The tag on my card reads "Oh Night Divine" which is a line that I took from the song "Oh Holy Night". I love that song!

I used the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartrdge for all of the cuts...

I was also able to add lots of bling thanks to a care package that I received from Janice (Scrappin to Stay Sane)... Thanks Janice... You know I LOVE Bling!!!!

Christmas w/ an "S" - CCC #96

It's time for another Cardz TV / CCC challenge. The challenge is simple. Make a Christmas card using something that begins with the letter "S". You can use any cartridges and any colors.

I'm notorious for giving gift cards as Christmas Gifts so I decided to make some gift card holders. The paper for the gift card holders were printed with the Cricut Imagine using the Mr. Frosty cartridge and Santa's Sleigh uses the oldie but goodie Christmas Cheer cartridge.

I used the gift card holder die cut from "My Creative Time" to cut the gift card.

Well, I've got more of these to make. In the meantime stop by the CardzTV / CCC blog to see what the other DT members have made. And while you're at it, why don't you play along!
