Welcome...

So glad you chose to stop by!

I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.

Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...

Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...

Enjoy and come back SOON!

Teacher's Gift... The Cutting Cafe

It's almost that time of year again. Before you know it the school bell will be ringing and the excitement for both teachers and students will be underway!

With that in mind, I made a set of memo cards (one shown others in matching envelope) and a pencil box using digital files from The Cutting Cafe. I used the Pencil Box Cutting Template for the box that has been filled with ink pens. I also used the From The Teacher Printable Stamp for the memo cards.

This set is good to go. Now to decide who gets it! I know lots of teachers...

BTW..., the patterned paper used in this set was printed via my Cricut Imagine. The papers are from the Teresa Collins Black and White cartridge. I love this cartridge!

Holiday (Anything Goes)... CCC #85

For this week's Cricut Cardz Challenge, the design team was asked to make a holiday card (for any holiday) using any cartridge and any colors. Don't you just love this Anything Goes theme?

My card was made using Elegant Edges (card base)and Winter Frolic (Christmas tree and sentiment)cartridges. All patterned papers as well as the "Oh Christmas Tree" sentiment were printed with the Cricut Imagine (Yummy Cartridge). I added a few stickles to the tree to jazz it up a bit.

Now it's your turn. Remember... anything goes!

OVERALLS Card...The Cutting Cafe

The Cutting Cafe has some of the cutest shaped templates! That's pretty exciting for me. This project was done with the OVERALLS SHAPED CARD TEMPLATE CUTTING FILE. The file comes in PDF, SVG, and WPC formats. I used my Pazzles to whip this card out in no time flat.

The file comes with lots of extras (for both boys and girls) so you can accessorize your project depending on your mood. Add plenty or a little. It's all up to you!

If you'd like to try some of the shaped card templates, you can find them HERE. There's so much to choose from!

Grandparent Bday...CCC #83

This birthday challenge @ CCC has put me ahead of schedule on birthday cards!! It's a good feeling to already have my grandmother's card done. No last minute on this one. I went ahead and made two. Both grandmother's are done!!!

Now it's your turn. The challenge this week is to make a birthday card for a grandparent. You can use any cartridge and any colors. Simple enough, right?

I used Elegant Edges for the circles layer as well as the tag for the sentiment. The flowers were cut from Accent Essentials and distressed with Glimmer Mist. All pattern papers were printed with the Cricut Imagine Vintage Papers and Black and White Cartridges.

SUMMER... The Cutting Cafe...

It's monthly inspiration time over @ The Cutting Cafe. This month's inspiration is all about Summer. There are so many wonderful summer sets at the Cutting Cafe that I had trouble deciding what to do.

In the end, I decided to do something that I've never done before. That's a word book. I used the Summer Word Book Template and Cutting File. I tell you, this was so much easier than I thought it would be. The hardest part was picking paper. I decided to print my own papers from the Elise Cricut Imagine Cartridge. The actual cutting and putting the book together was super easy. Regina has a VIDEO that guides you through this simple process.

BTW, The "Momma said..." sentiment / cutting file also comes from The Cutting Cafe. You can find it HERE.

I like the way the book turned out. Now I have to add photos...

Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe and see what the rest of the design team has done. You're sure to be inspired.

For My Reserve... Cutting Cafe

I'm such a last minute card maker, but my goal has always been to have several kinds of cards on hand so when an occasion arises, I can just pull one from my reserve. This card will be part of my reserve. I chose not to put a sentiment on it until I decide how it will be used. It may be a kiddie birthday card, it may be a baby shower card... Who knows? At least the card is ready occasion come what may.

This cut comes from none other than the The Cutting Cafe and is called Dress Shaped Card 2 Cutting File. It comes with lots of accesories so you can mix and match as much as you like. Or you can do like I did and add some things from your scrapbooking stash. While I was at it, I decided to add a matching envelope... Why not??? The envelope is part of the Dress Shaped Card 2 set. How fabulous is that?
